MLB.com reporter Bryan Hoch, beat writer of the New York Yankees, reported yesterday evening that
“The Boss” will be in attendance on Tuesday, April 13th as the Yankees take on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at 1:05pm. This is great news for all Yankees fans as “The Boss” has not been seen around Yankee Stadium much since Hal and Hank Steinbrenner have taken over the day-to-day responsibilities. According to the report:
George Steinbrenner is planning to attend Opening Day at Yankee Stadium, when the Yankees will celebrate their 2009 World Series championship in a ceremony. Yankees co-chairman Hal Steinbrenner told The Associated Press that “the plan” is for his father to attend the home opener against the Angels on April 13, the first game played in the Bronx since Game 6 of the Fall Classic against the Phillies.
