Tonight’s lineup – Rangers vs Yankees (08/11/10)
After last night’s disappointing defeat, no thanks to David Murphy, who hit a pitch off of Mariano Rivera, in the bottom of the 10th. Look for the Yankees to bounce back tonight, with Robinson Cano and Jorge Posada back in the lineup tonight.
Cliff Lee is 5-4 with a 4.72 ERA in 10 career starts against the Yankees, including a complete-game win on June 29, which was his only start vs the Yankees this year. Also, the Yankees saw Lee twice in the World Series, and they couldn’t beat him either time.
Some Yankee faithfuls may say, that tonight’s game might be over, even before it starts, because of the last 3 starts vs the Yankees. If the Yankees can get to Lee early, and throw him of his game, tonight might be the chance, the Yankees finally beat Lee, for the 5th time, in 11 career starts!!
Just a little note: The Tigers beat the Rays today 3-2. So if we do lose the game tonight, it is, with some comfort, that the Rays were also defeated today.
