The Yankees are back in the Bronx, after a six game road trip, where the Bombers split both series between the Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Royals.
The Bombers are set to embark on another four game series, against the Detroit Tigers. The last time these two teams met, was back in May (10th to the 13th) to be exact. The outcome for the Bombers wasn’t the greatest, they lost the series three games to one. Yankee faithfuls are hoping for a better outcome, second time around.
Update on Andy Pettitte: According to Mark Feinsand, Andy is frustrated, after suffering a setback on Friday.
“I thought I was ahead of schedule, but mound-wise, I’m not,” Pettitte said. “I just want to be healthy. I know I’m being cautious, but I want to make sure I’m not being too cautious.”
Andy Pettitte has been on the disable list since July 19, with a left groin strain.
