Tonight’s lineup – Yankees vs Tigers (08/18/10)
Alex Rodriguez is not in tonight’s lineup due to a low-level strain in his left calf. Ramiro Pena will replace A-Rod at the hot-corner.
This is what Rodriguez had to say about the injury:
“I have no idea right now,” Rodriguez said when asked how long he would miss. “I feel surprisingly better than I thought. Hopefully, it’s just a day-to-day thing.”
“I’m not concerned,” Rodriguez said when asked if the injury could derail his offensive momentum. “I’m going to be fine. I feel myself, our team, overall, we’re going to have a good stretch here coming down the stretch.”

With Pettitte not coming back until September, Lance Berkman is listed day-to-day, and Nick Swisher has tennis elbow, Yankee faithfuls are hoping that this is the last of the injury bug to plague the Bronx Bombers!!
