Jeter crowned MLB’s most marketable player!

Posted by Tom Ortiz in NY Yankees on 07 20th, 2010 | No Comments
Yes, that’s right, New York Yankees starting Shortstop, Derek Jeter (#2), has been announced as Major League Baseball’s most marketable player – by far. Jeter received 80% of the first-place votes. Memorial Day May Mayhem

Posted by Tom Ortiz in NY Yankees on 06 1st, 2010 | No Comments
Memorial Day, a day of remembering and honoring the brave men and women who have served this great country to keep the generous freedoms, privileges, and opportunities we still have today. Some honor them with memorials, some with gracious ceremonies, some with prayers and celebrations, and in the baseball world, an Alex Rodriguez Grand Slam. A-Rods Grand Slam is now the 20th of his great...

YANKEE FACT

06/10/2011 - On May 8, 1925, the Yankees Everett Scott sat out a game against the St. Louis Brown, ending his Major League record of 1,307 consecutive games played. Just three weeks later, Scott's teammate Lou Gehrig began a streak of 2,130 straight games that would break Scott's record and stand for decades.
